Well, the point is that I fell in love with this theme. Light Coffee. You can download the first or the second version and you can install it in Ubuntu very simply. But you’ll find also a Murrine version of this theme here. Well, what to say? It is a masterpiece for my eyes. Maybe not for yours, I don’t know, but I’ll show you here how to completely customize your desktop with these theme, in several different posts.
Fisrt of all follow the instructions on how to install that you find on the main site (The first link I provided). You can choose to install also only a part of the theme. For example, I only installed the gkt theme + emerald theme and not also gdm, splash, etc. themes.
Second, when you install the GTK and the Murrine themes pay attention to one thing. In the Theme Manager you’ll find a LightCoffee Theme. Choosing it will change also your icon set to the standard Gnome Icons. You can of course choose to use the Human Ubuntu Icons which I prefer for sure. And you can change the window decorator too. But you can also choose the Human Theme and change only the Controls to LightCoffee. And this is my best choice. Then you have to remember that if you whant to use the Murrine version of this Theme you’ll have to install Murrine (See This post of mine) and choose the Light Coffee Murrine Dark/Light Theme in the Controls tag of the Theme Manager.
“In the Theme Manager you’ll find a LightCoffee Theme. Choosing it will change also your icon set to the standard Gnome Icons.” This I will quote within the Installation note if you agree.
Sure I agree 🙂
